After breakfast it’s time to head out to

• Catherine palace – it served as the summer residence for Russian tsars. Famous for its lavish Rococo architecture and opulent interiors, the palace is best known for the Amber Room, a stunning chamber decorated entirely with amber panels and gold leaf
• Peter And Paul Fortress – it’s the original citadel of the city and played a key role in its defense and development. The fortress includes impressive walls, bastions, and several notable buildings, such as the Peter and Paul Cathedral, which houses the tombs of Russian tsars

• National Hermitage Museum-Winter Palace – was the official residence of the Russian tsars and is a stunning example of Baroque architecture. Today, it forms a key part of the Hermitage Museum complex, which houses an extraordinary collection of over three million artworks and artifacts from around the world, including paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Michelangelo
• Alexander Column – Erected between 1830 and 1834, the column commemorates Russia’s victory over Napoleon in the 1812 Patriotic War. Designed by architect Auguste de Montferrand, it stands about 47.5 meters (156 feet) tall and is topped with a statue of an angel holding a cross
