Itinerary
Board your flight to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and gateway to the Balkans. This charming city is a blend of Gothic spires, Austro-Hungarian buildings, and cobblestoned lanes. Upon arrival, you’ll step into the heart of Zagreb Old Town, where red-roofed houses line the skyline and history whispers through the streets.
Take in views of the Zagreb Cathedral, the city’s tallest structure with twin spires reaching into the sky. Just nearby, the lively Dolac Market—an open-air market dating back to the 1930s—is packed with fresh local produce, handmade cheeses, cured meats, and colorful flower stalls run by local grannies in traditional aprons. It’s the perfect intro to Croatia’s authentic flavors and everyday life.
Meal On Board
Arrive in Zagreb, capital of Croatia since 1557. Begin your guided tour through the Upper and Lower Towns, home to historical landmarks like the Zagreb Cathedral, rebuilt in 1880 after an earthquake, and St. Mark’s Church, known for its medieval tiled roof. Stop at Lotrščak Tower, where a noon cannon has fired daily since the 19th century.
Continue to Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. Visit Prešeren Square, the city’s main plaza named after its national poet, and the iconic pink Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. Cross the Triple Bridge, designed in 1932 by Jože Plečnik, whose architectural legacy is part of Slovenia’s UNESCO Tentative List. Walk through Ljubljana Old Town, a preserved historical centre known for its baroque buildings, narrow pedestrian streets, and riverside charm—built at the base of Castle Hill.
Meal On Board, Dinner
Depart Ljubljana for Lake Bled, Slovenia’s most iconic alpine lake. Ride across the emerald-green waters in a traditional Pletna boat, unique to Lake Bled and found nowhere else in the world. The boat takes you to Bled Island, where you’ll visit the Church of Mary the Queen and ring the wishing bell, a tradition dating back centuries. Surrounded by forested hills and snow-capped peaks, this lake has been a retreat since medieval times.
Next, travel to the base of Vogel Mountain, where you’ll ascend by funicular to enjoy sweeping views of the Julian Alps and alpine forests. During winter, Vogel is also a popular spot for snow activities.
Continue to Bohinj, located in Triglav National Park, and stop at Bohinj Lake—Slovenia’s largest natural lake, known for its glacial origins and unspoiled scenery.
Breakfast
Travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Walk along wooden paths through forest, beside turquoise lakes, and across cascading waterfalls. Take a boat ride across Lake Kozjak, the largest and most scenic lake in the park, surrounded by lush greenery and limestone cliffs.
Continue to Rastoke, often called “Small Plitvice,” a cliffside village built over rivers and waterfalls. Known for its century-old water mills, stone houses and wooden bridges, the village preserves Croatia’s rural heritage in a dramatic setting.
Arrive in Zadar, an ancient coastal city. Along its sea promenade, visit the Sea Organ, a unique structure that uses the movement of sea waves to push air through underwater pipes—producing natural music that changes with every wave. Just beside, the Greeting to the Sun is a large solar-powered disc that stores sunlight and lights up at night in colourful patterns, simulating the planets of the solar system. Both works were created by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Travel to Split, Croatia’s second-largest city, home to over 1,700 years of history. On your walking tour, explore Diocletian’s Palace, one of the world’s most complete remains of a Roman palace. Visit the Pjaca Square, City Clock, and the lively Riva Harbor, lined with palm trees and cafés. Discover how ancient architecture and modern life blend in this coastal city.
Continue to Dubrovnik, one of Croatia’s most iconic cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the Old Town and along the City Walls, with panoramic views of red-roofed houses and the Adriatic Sea. See the Stradun promenade, the Dominican Monastery, Onofrio’s Great Fountain, Orlando’s Column, the Church of St. Blaise, the Rector’s Palace, and Dubrovnik Cathedral—each with centuries of history.
End your day with a view from Mount Srđ, overlooking the entire walled city and sea.
Breakfast, Dinner
Today, enjoy a Free Day in Dubrovnik, a historic coastal city known for its Old Town and ancient City Walls.
Alternatively, join the Optional Tour to Montenegro. Travel along the southern Dalmatian Coast, where steep cliffs meet turquoise bays and stone villages line the shores.
Visit Perast, a quiet baroque town facing the Bay of Kotor. Enjoy a scenic boat ride across the bay to reach Our Lady of the Rocks, a historic island church created by centuries of local legends and maritime tradition.
Continue to Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a medieval walled city nestled inside the Bay of Kotor, often called Europe’s southernmost fjord. Walk through its narrow stone streets, old squares, and historic churches.
You may also climb the San Giovanni Fortress, ascending approximately 1,350 stone steps built during the Venetian era to protect the city. From the summit, admire breathtaking views over the Bay of Kotor, where rugged mountains, red-roofed medieval houses, and shimmering Adriatic waters stretch endlessly into the horizon.
Breakfast
Start the day with a visit to Počitelj, a historical fortified village built on a hillside overlooking the Neretva River. Walk through its stone-paved alleys, see Ottoman-style towers, mosques, and traditional houses, preserved since medieval times.
Continue to Blagaj. Visit the peaceful Blagaj Monastery (Blagaj Tekija), built in 1520 at the spring of the Buna River, beneath towering cliffs. This Ottoman-era monastery served as a retreat for the Muslim Dervish order for centuries.
Next, visit Kravice Waterfall, located in Studenci, Ljubuški, one of the most beautiful natural reserves in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Enjoy the sight of 25-metre-high waterfalls cascading into a wide emerald-green pool, surrounded by forest and small local cafés.
Proceed to Mostar, renowned for its UNESCO-listed Old Bridge (Stari Most), a 16th-century stone arch bridging the Neretva River. Walk across the Old Bridge and explore the cobbled lanes, Ottoman architecture, and local markets. Also visit the smaller Crooked Bridge (Kriva Ćuprija) and see religious landmarks such as Hadži-Kurt Mosque and Koski-Mehmed Pasha’s Mosque.
Breakfast
After visiting Mostar, transfer to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Join a citywide guided tour covering Sarajevo’s historic Old Town, filled with ancient churches, mosques, markets, and Austro-Hungarian architecture.
Highlights include views from Trebević Mountain, overlooking the city and its surrounding valleys. Visit the Latin Bridge, famously known as the Place of Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914, an event that triggered World War I. Learn about Sarajevo’s layered history and rich multicultural heritage.
