Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. The park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Today, passes by Grand Teton range. The Town Square features arches made of shed antlers from the National Eik Refuge. After proceed to Pocatello. In early days, pioneers, settlers and gold miners passed through Pocatello, a "Gate City" to Yellowstone National Park, on their way west. Pocatello is still a popular destination, a lively valley city surrounded by mountains, steeped in history and full of outdoor fun, from Nordic skiing and ice fishing in winter to hiking and biking in the summer. 

 

POCATELLO - TWIN FALLS - WINNEMUCCA 

Shoshone Falls "the Niagara of the West" is a must see. These falls put on a show in spring and early summer, when water flows are at their peak after winter snowmelt. During high water years, the falls attract thousands of out-of-town spectators who come to witness nature's awesome power. The falls travel a whopping 200 feet to the water below, framed by the rocky canyon walls. These falls are a favorite of photographers and can be snapped from above on the Snake River Canyon Rim Trail or below at Centennial Park. Proceed to Winnemucca for your overnight stay.
 

WINNEMUCCA - LAKE TAHOE - SACRAMENTO - SAN FRANCISCO
